TOUR OF KAKAMEGA FOREST

Price: KES 4500 per person or USD 45. Tour starts at KEEP's Bandas in Kakamega Forest

Time Activity
8am: Arrival at Kakamega Rain forest
8am – 11am: Nature trail and bird watching
11am- 1 pm: Visit KEEP Projects including Butterfly farm and pollinator garden visit
11am-12pm: Tree nursery visit
12pm-2pm: Lunch at a community village (Traditional food)
1pm-4pm: Community Farm visit
4pm Departure from the community farm

Kakamega Crying Stone and Pottery

Price: 3500 per person/ 35USD, 6000/ 60 USD for two people. Tour starts at KEEP's Banda in Kakamega Forest

9am   Depart from KEEP
10-12am   Hike around the Crying Stone while listening to the myths around it
12am - 2 pm   Lunch at Khaega town
2pm-4pm   Vie the various handcraft of Ilesi, especially pottery. Can be involved in handicraft
4pm   Depart Ilesi

SUNRISE VIEW AT KAKAMEGA FOREST

Price: 3000 per person/ 30USD, Tour starts at KEEP's Banda in Kakamega Forest

4.30 am   Depart for a hike at Kakamega Rain Forest
4.30 – 6am   Trek in Kakamega forest enjoying the sights and sounds of early risers
6.00-7.30 am    Enjoy the sunsrise and the view of kakamega Forest at Liharda Hill (Highest point in the raiforest)
7.30-9.00   Trek out of Kakamega Forest
9.00-10.00    Enjoy traditional breakfast at a community village
10.00-11.30 am    Depart KEEP
